On or around 1st - 5th May, Beltane is the mid point between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. It represents the first day of summer and signals that time in the year when the dawn chorus is at it’s loudest and the new green leaves on the plants are at their brightest.

It is said that the veil between the seen and the unseen realms are thinner at this time of year, and it’s a good time to honour fertility, joy and connection with Mother Earth.

It’s a time to celebrate with friends and family, around a fire, and appreciate all that we have and what we are growing and developing. Light a fire! Listen to the dawn chorus! Share the joy!
